I just love this kid!

I never knew how much I could love someone until I found myself falling head over heels in love with my daughter. (A TOTALLY different type of falling head over heel in love with my hubby as much as I do love him) Words can not begin to express how I feel about her. Seriously, I am at a loss for words trying to describe it yet my heart is just bustin' with how I feel. I have to admit, I have not always been a "kid person" but, I was fascinated by people who'd say "I'd die for him/her". I never really understood what that type of love must have felt like; now I know. I mean I really KNOW the feeling that goes with saying that and it is powerful.

I will be forever grateful to God and each and every individual who had a hand in bringing my family of three together. I wish I had a list, name by name, foreign and domestic of each person who did their part to bring us together because I would call those people and let them know just how grateful I am for their time and energy.

I mean to think that I could have missed having this spectacular child in my life brings me to tears! I thank God each and every day that he placed adoption on my heart and that my sweet hubby agreed to follow!

To hear my sweet baby say to me EVERY single night as I am tucking her in "We had a fun day" chokes me up every time. I love being a mom and all that goes with it.

  2. That is beautiful!!! Very well said Amy! I'm so glad that God knows what is best for each of us... by bringing our daughters into our lives. I don't even remember what life was like before Lexi came and I can't even imagine life without her! Wow! What would Donnie & I have done for the past 12 years without her??? I have no idea but I bet it would've been boring compared to all the things we have done & moments we have shared these past 12 years. I cry when I think about how fast she is growing up. Enjoy every "second" you have with Marossie (I know you will) because time goes by so fast! I love your blog!!! I may even have to make one myself!!! I'm such a copy-cat! :) Love you all... God Bless!
